This toner-like product may feel weightless as claimed, but its formula stands an excellent change of irritating your skin, a fact which leads to a host of other problems. Essentially a toner with the AHA glycolic acid and BHA salicylic acid, these ingredients work to exfoliate because the pH of Conditioning Solution is within the range these ingredients need to work. Although that's great, the amount of alcohol and inclusion of fragrant eucalyptus oil make this a deal-breaker for all skin types.

Far from soothing or conditioning, this ends up being too irritating. Please see our list of Best Exfoliants for superior options.

A weightless skin exfoliating treatment with a combination of alpha and beta hydroxy acids to reduce pore size, loosen dead skin cells and refine skin texture. Eucalyptus oil adds a cooling and refreshing touch that soothes irritations and leaves your skin revitalized and purified.

Water, Alcohol Denat., Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Eucalyptus Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA

Brand Overview

SkinCeuticals At-A-Glance

With a strong presence in the professional (meaning spa and aesthetics) skincare market, SkinCeuticals has a mostly well-deserved reputation for producing serious-minded, research-driven products, several of which are centered on L-ascorbic acid (a form of vitamin C).

There are many good reasons to shop this line; it boasts a lineup up impressive vitamin C products, as well as some good retinol options and sunscreens. Even better is that the majority of its anti-aging products are packaged in containers that will protect their contents from light and air. Focusing on what Skinceuticals does best (which is serums, sunscreens, and specialty products) will be money well spent for visible results. The main drawbacks of this line are some products that contain fragrance ingredients, as well as potentially-drying alcohol, though they represent the minority of the brand’s offerings.
