Regenerist Instant Fix Wrinkle and Pore Vanisher comes in a medicinal-looking tube and is meant, as the name states, to fill wrinkles and seal in moisture. The silicone and the plastic-based thickening agent that comprise the bulk of this product will function as minor fillers for wrinkles, but the best results will be seen for superficial lines, not deep, etched wrinkles, and the effect is best described as temporary. However, someone in their late 20s or 30s with the first signs of lines around the eyes or mouth may find this works beautifully (if temporarily) to reduce these signs of aging. Olay omits the niacinamide and instead includes an impressive amount of a cell-communicating peptide and antioxidant vitamin E. This line-filling serum is fragrance-free and includes a mineral pigment to help reflect light away from the skin, which can further improve the appearance of superficial lines.

Note: This product’s former name was Fill & Seal Wrinkle Treatment. You may still see it in stores under this name, and on Olay’s website. Olay confirmed that the “Fix” products are renamed versions of original products whose formulas have not changed.

The dual action process works in two ways: penetrates into the wrinkle surface to immediately reduce the appearance of wrinkle depth and length. At the surface, it creates a micro-bonding network that seals in moisturizer to regenerate skin's appearance, and diminish the look of fine lines & wrinkles all day. Olay Regenerist Filling + Sealing Wrinkle Treatment fills inside creases and seals at the surface to diminish the look of fine lines & wrinkles. Precision delivery system targets key wrinkle-prone areas around the eyes, mouth and on the forehead.

Brand Overview

Olay At-A-Glance

Starting decades ago with the now-classic Oil of Olay, this brand now offers an extensive range of skin-care products sold at drugstores and mass-market stores. Today's Olay lineup for those concerned about staving off the effects of aging skin is impressive, comprising their Regenerist, Pro X, and Total Effects lines. All of these (and several other Olay products) contain the B vitamin niacinamide. As you might expect, the claims made for it are inflated, but niacinamide is a very helpful ingredient for all skin types, capable of exerting multiple benefits.

In fact, perhaps the biggest complaint about Olay is that there are a number of repetitive formulas within and between the sub-brands make this line confusing and tricky to shop! Still, there is a lot to like about this drugstore stalwart, with its main drawback being a few formulas containing fragrance or other ingredients that have the potential to cause irritation.
