This is the cream version of e.l.f.'s popular Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzer, and the principle is essentially the same: On one side of this compact is a peachy coral blush shade; on the other is a brown bronzer shade that's also meant to be used to contour the cheekbones and the jaw line.

People with light skin tones should avoid using the brown shade to contour, as it's quite deep, and, at least for daytime makeup, contouring colors should be only a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone. Applied as bronzer, it blends in well enough to add a healthy wash of warm color to the cheeks.

The pigment quality in both the blush and bronzer is very strong, so you need only a tiny bit (and we mean a tiny bit!) to get a lot of color. They both apply easily and the blush is a color that can be sheered down to work for fair skin tones or quickly built up for medium to dark skin tones.

The only downside to this combo is that while the color quality is intense, both the blush and bronzer begin to fade before the end of an average workday. Aside from that, though, this is a good option if you're looking for a two-in-one product that doesn't break the bank.
