Brand Overview

Smartly’s Unscented Facial Cleansing Wipes seem almost too good to be true but believe it: they’re gentle and effective wipes that you can get for less than a dollar!

These come in standard packaging for face wipes: a plastic resealable pack of 30. The cloths are soft and well-saturated in cleansing solution, but not so saturated that they’re a drippy mess.

These cloths include gentle cleansing agents and hydrating and soothing ingredients, and are fragrance free, meaning you don’t have to worry about rinsing your face after using them (which is a big part of the appeal of cleansing cloths!).

They do a good job of removing dirt, oil, and makeup, though aren’t the best at removing longwearing or waterproof makeup (though we can’t fault Smartly given they don’t make this claim).

All told, the price-to-performance ratio is off the charts and make these a must-try if you love cleansing cloths.

  • Includes gentle cleansing agents + hydrating and soothing ingredients.
  • Effectively removes dirt, oil, and most makeup.
  • Fragrance free.
  • Isn’t the best at removing waterproof makeup (though it doesn’t claim to do so, either).
Jar Packaging: No

Smartly is one of the house brands of mass market retailer Target. whose tagline is, “Affordable household essentials and more, made just right.” The lineup includes everything from hand soaps to laundry detergent, and what we’re most concerned about (of course) – skin care.

To that end, the brand’s range of skin care products is small and affordable; none of the products has a price tag higher than $3. You won’t find antioxidant-packed serums or innovative sunscreens here, but what you will find are mostly effective, basic formulas. They include a good sunscreen, a simple face moisturizer, a great facial cleanser and face wipes. Exciting it isn’t, but if you’re looking for a couple of good, inexpensive staples and routinely shop at Target, Smartly might be the smart choice for you.
