Brand Overview

This body lotion isn’t as well formulated as Gold Bond’s Ultimate Restoring Skin Therapy Lotion, CoQ10. It contains a handful of antioxidants but the ginger root extract poses a risk of irritation as does Boswellia serrata resin extract. The soothing agents in this moisturizer have to spend their energy working against the plant irritants rather than helping your skin, which isn’t great. The second ingredient in this moisturizer is a form of urea that can be very helpful for dry, flaky skin. However, there are other moisturizers with urea that are worth considering over this formula. Given this product’s name, it should’ve been a lot more soothing than it is!

Gold Bond At-A-Glance

Gold Bond is a staple at drugstores due to their small selection of body lotions, anti-itch products, and various foot-care products. Though there are a number of Gold Bond products containing the potent irritant menthol (particularly its foot care and "medicated" products), in recent years Gold Bond has taken great strides and now offers some impressive moisturizers that are fairly priced, too.
