Brand Overview

This body moisturizer has what it takes to make body skin softer, but it’s not the ultimate formula. Yes, this contains a very good mix of emollients and skin conditioning agents, but the inclusion of lavender and rosemary extracts keep it from earning a higher rating. The second ingredient is a form of urea that can be great for dry, flaky skin. However, urea is a penetration enhancer that increases the risk of irritation from the problematic plant extracts. On balance, this isn’t worth strong consideration over other body lotions with urea, or you can consider Gold Bond’s superior Ultimate Restoring Skin Therapy Lotion CoQ10 instead.

Gold Bond At-A-Glance

Gold Bond is a staple at drugstores due to their small selection of body lotions, anti-itch products, and various foot-care products. Though there are a number of Gold Bond products containing the potent irritant menthol (particularly its foot care and "medicated" products), in recent years Gold Bond has taken great strides and now offers some impressive moisturizers that are fairly priced, too.
