Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream
Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream has a formula similar to Olay’s other Total Effects products, meaning you get a blend of such ingredients as glycerin, niacinamide, silicone, emollients, and antioxidants. It features a dry-finish ingredient known as isohexadecane, which prevents it from being too creamy. If you prefer a luxurious-feeling eye cream, this is not the one to choose. Another reason to reconsider before buying this: The formulation is similar to Olay’s other Total Effects products, but in this case you’re getting less product for your money and it’s in translucent jar packaging, which compromises the effectiveness of the antioxidants even before you open it.
Gives your skin an immediate radiant glow and fights 7 signs of aging all around the eye area. This soft and creamy formula contains an effective complex of 7 vitamins and minerals, including VitaNiacin, plus revitalizing cucumber extract and soothing aloe vera specifically designed for the eye area.
Starting decades ago with the now-classic Oil of Olay, this brand now offers an extensive range of skin-care products sold at drugstores and mass-market stores. Today's Olay lineup for those concerned about staving off the effects of aging skin is impressive, comprising their Regenerist, Pro X, and Total Effects lines. All of these (and several other Olay products) contain the B vitamin niacinamide. As you might expect, the claims made for it are inflated, but niacinamide is a very helpful ingredient for all skin types, capable of exerting multiple benefits.
In fact, perhaps the biggest complaint about Olay is that there are a number of repetitive formulas within and between the sub-brands make this line confusing and tricky to shop! Still, there is a lot to like about this drugstore stalwart, with its main drawback being a few formulas containing fragrance or other ingredients that have the potential to cause irritation.
