Therapeutic Hand Cream
This fragrance-free hand cream has a silky, lightweight texture that isn't emollient enough to make very dry hands feel better, but the tradeoff is that hands won't feel greasy or slick either. Although this isn't the hand cream to use if you have uncomfortably dry skin, it's a good day-to-day option, although the lack of sunscreen means it should be used only at night.
Therapeutic Hand Cream goes beyond standard hand creams by including the cell-communicating ingredient niacinamide and a range of skin-repairing ingredients, although these aren't quite as prominent in this formula as they are in other CeraVe products. Still, their inclusion is welcome and the fact that this hand cream doesn't contain fragrance is another plus that makes it worth considering.
Note: CeraVe claims this is water-resistant, and given its silicone content, it can be up to a point. As with any moisturizer, regardless of the formula, when you wash your hands you will need to reapply or your hands will become dry again.
- Lightweight yet hydrating.
- Doesn't feel slick or greasy.
- Contains a good mix of skin-repairing ingredients.
- Lack of sunscreen makes this ill-suited for daytime use.
- Lacks antioxidants to help skin repair sun damage.
Helps repair, restore, and protect skin from harmful irritants. Non-irritating, water resistant and fragrance free. CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream is a vital part of a daily skin care routine to moisturize and protect your hands from harmful irritants and allergens, so they look and feel soft and healthy.
This expanding collection of skincare products keeps things gentle and effective with fragrance-free formulas, many of which are more state-of-the-art than any other product in its price range or pricier versions at the drugstore. In short, this line is a real find!
CeraVe uses a delivery system the company refers to as Multivesicular Emulsion Technology, which releases key ingredients such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid over a period of several hours. Although this technology is undoubtedly helpful, such time-delayed delivery systems aren't unique to CeraVe, and the fact remains that most of the ingredients they use are very helpful on their own, no matter what delivery system you use.
The important point is that ongoing, consistent use of this kind of moisturizer designed to repair the skin's barrier function will result in smoother, softer, healthier skin.
It is for these reasons that most CeraVe products are definitely worth considering, especially at this price. You'll find a options for moisturizing, cleansing, broad spectrum sun protection, and baby care.
