Snoxin Facial Line Fighter
*Note November 2018: Many of Indeed Labs' products have been reformulated since our original reviews. We are working on revising them accordingly. Please check back for updates in early 2019.
Snoxin is a somewhat thick, fragrance-free gel packaged in a tube. It has the appearance of an ointment, but goes on with a non-greasy feel and dries to a satin finish suitable for all skin types.
This product’s major selling point is that contains multiple peptides to fight lines and wrinkles. The jury is still out on the true benefit peptides have for aging skin (more research needs to be done), though they will not affect wrinkles or expression lines in the same way retinol, Botox, or dermal fillers can.
That isn’t to say this is a bad formula – in fact, it’s a great way to introduce several promising peptides into your skin-care routine. Peptides are excellent moisture-binding agents and theoretically are cell-communicating ingredients as well, meaning they can help skin repair itself and potentially discourage collagen breakdown while also stimulating healthy collagen production. Just keep in mind that if you’re looking to truly fight wrinkles, you’ll need a product that’s more well-rounded than this; one that contains a varied blend of skin-beneficial ingredients.
In the end, Snoxin Facial Line Fighter comes up a bit short, but can serve as a potentially helpful add-on to a facial serum or moisturizer loaded with anti-aging ingredients.
- The peptides serve as skin-repairing and, potentially, cell-communicating ingredients.
- Will not have a significant impact on lines and wrinkles as advertised.
snoxin is a concentrated multi-peptide facial serum designed to help combat the appearance of skin aging. Targets the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagginess, and textural damage.
Strengths: Inexpensive; some novel products worth checking out, fragrance-free.
Weaknesses: Some of the products in this line make claims that the results are like in-office cosmetic corrective procedures when that is not the case.
Promising high performance, innovative products, Canada-based Indeed Laboratories is a small, drugstore-sold line specializing in anti-aging-themed products. Their best-known product, and not surprisingly the one we're asked about the most, is Nanoblur. This product is essentially a silicone-based wrinkle filler and pore smoother that works, though no better than many other, similar products. All of these types of products work (temporarily, of course) to improve skin texture and fill imperfections to a degree that they're slightly to moderately less noticeable. Where Nanoblur makes its mark is the price point, which many will find enticing.
This is a line that seeks to avoid fragrance, and that's always to skin's benefit, and their modern-looking packaging will help keep light- and air-sensitive ingredients (like retinol) from degrading. Though the claims of certain products don't always live up to the reality of their ingredients, if you keep your expectations realistic and don't expect miracles, you're far more likely to come away satisfied.
