Brand Overview

Naturally Ageless Line Smoothing Eye Creme is an emollient moisturizer for dry skin, but one that’s not advised for use around the eyes because the amount of alcohol it contains can be potentially irritating and drying. The formula overall is boring, lacking state of the art ingredients, and the jar packaging won’t keep the minimal amount of antioxidants in this product stable.

Jar Packaging: Yes
Tested on animals: No

Revitalize your eyes with this formula that helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a naturally ageless eye area. This lightweight eye cream is packed with antioxidant-rich pomegranate to fight skin-damaging free radicals and para cress to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Magnolia extract helps reduce the appearance of dark circles, while horse chestnut extract helps reduce puffiness.

Water, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Lanolin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Coco-Glucoside, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Magnolia Grandiflora (Magnolia) Bark Extract, Acmella Oleracea (Para Cress) Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Tocopherol, Glucose, Silica, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sodium Chloride, Glucose Oxidase, Lactoperoxidase

Strengths: Inexpensive.

Weaknesses: Many products have potent fragranced formulas; several formulas packaged in jars, which compromises their ingredients.

With humble beginnings in the town of Bangor, Maine, Burt's Bees is a brand focused on natural-themed, earth-friendly skincare. Unfortunately, in many cases, this also translates to less than beneficial formulas as not all of the natural ingredients used are helpful for skin.

Many of the plant extracts and oils used in these products, including orange oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, lemon oil, eucalyptus oil, pine tar, alcohol, lime oil, and balsam peru, are problematic for skin and present a significant risk of irritation or a sensitizing reaction. Both the intriguing philosophy and inexpensive products are attractive, but it takes more than that to establish reliable products that are good for skin. Its also important to consider the potential benefit (or potential harm) of the ingredients used.

There are some formulas to consider among the brands offerings, but some to be wary ofsee our individual reviews on Burts Bees products for more details.
