Multi-Action R&R Eye Cream
StriVectin's Multi-Action R&R Eye Cream claims to address every age-related concern you might have for your eye area, but its fragrance-free formula falls short—and so does the packaging.
First, the packaging: Since this eye cream, like so many others, is packaged in a jar, the majority of its anti-aging ingredients won't remain effective from first to last use. See More Info for details.
Next up is the formula itself: It's not bad; in fact, in better packaging this eye cream would rank among the best. But even then, it can't make good on all of its claims to fight signs of aging around the eyes. For example, no eye cream can lift sagging eyelids or have a pronounced effect on dark circles. At best, this will smooth, provide some visible firmness, and soften the look of lines and wrinkles.
Unlike most eye creams, this one contains synthetic coloring agents. Perhaps this combined with the brightening pigments also included is what the brand means by giving skin "an instant shot of energy", but the effect is only cosmetic; your eyes won't "feel" more energized when this is applied.
What this does remarkably well is hydrate dry skin around the eyes. The numerous plant oils and skin-softening emollients feel lusciously creamy and ably protect eye-area skin from moisture loss. Unfortunately, most of those ingredients will suffer somewhat from jar packaging—it all comes back to that misstep. See our list of Best Eye Creams & Treatments for better options.
- Hydrates dry skin around the eyes.
- Rich in replenishing plant oils and antioxidants.
- Feels wonderfully creamy without being greasy.
- Fragrance free.
- Jar packaging doesn't help keep this eye cream's best ingredients stable during use.
- Cannot lift sagging eyelid skin.
Jar packaging is also unsanitary because you dip your fingers into the jar with each use, contaminating the product. This stresses the preservative system, leading to further deterioration of the beneficial ingredients.
Remember: The ingredients that provide the most benefit in addressing visible signs of aging must be in airtight or air-restrictive packaging to remain effective throughout usage. Buying products in this type of packaging means that the ingredients have the best chance of remaining effective—to the benefit of your skin!

Multi-targeted treatment repairs the key signs of aging in the delicate eye area: lines and wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness, loss of firmness, and dehydration while giving tired eyes an instant shot of energy. Smoothes lines and wrinkles, de-puffs and tightens skin all around the eye, lifts sagging, tired eye lids, diminishes dark circles.
StriVectin put itself on the skincare map with its original StriVectin-SD cream, designed to treat stretch marks. The product took off and became the cornerstone of skincare collection whose focus is now on anti-aging. Its main selling point is its use of myristyl nicotinate (called NIA-114 in brand literature), which is related to and has many of the same properties as niacinamide.
Overall, the brand has some worthwhile products and for the most part theyre in packaging that will protect their ingredients from light and air. Unfortunately there are a number of options that include fragrance and other potential irritants, which are noted in our individual reviews.
As of 2019, StriVectin no longer sells in mainland China and is now cruelty-free. For more information about StriVectin, visit www.strivectin.com.
