MEN Fast Absorbing Body and Face Lotion
There is nothing “fast absorbing” about this moisturizer nor is it more suited for a man’s skin than a woman’s skin. In fact, the ingredient list for this body and face lotion (almost any body lotion can be applied to the face, too, though facial moisturizers are typically more elegant formulas) is similar to those of the “main” Vaseline body lotions. The “MEN” distinction is about a marketing, not a male-centric formula. If you’re a guy considering this product and have normal to dry skin, it’s an OK option but you can do better. Check out brands such as CeraVe or Eucerin for superior options—and don’t worry, both of these brands are gender-neutral.
We’re stymied by Vaseline’s fast absorbing and non-greasy claims, because that’s not what happens unless you apply just a teeny-tiny amount of this body lotion. Granted, it doesn’t make your skin feel like an oil slick, but it’s not gone in 60 seconds, either.
Vaseline Men Fast Absorbing Body and Face Lotion tackles skin dryness in just 15 seconds. The fast absorbing, non-greasy formulation contains Stratys-3 multi-layer moisture to provide men with 24-hour moisture for strong skin.
The Vaseline brand is perhaps among the oldest and most well-known around the world. Since the advent of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly in the late 1800s, the brand has been synonymous with treating dry, chafed, cracked skin. Although petroleum jelly is among the best ingredients for preventing moisture loss and healing dry skin, it must be said that skin requires more than one ingredient to look and function at its healthy best. To that end, Vaseline has branched out from its original, ointment-like petroleum jelly to a line of body creams and lotions that contain a range of helpful ingredients for dry skin. Their body-care formulas aren't the most exciting around, but there are some good options. Adding to the handful of commendable products are Vaseline's widespread availability and relatively low price point.
This is definitely a line to shop carefully, because many of the body lotion formulas arent all that great; in fact, most of them pale in comparison to competing brands sold at the drugstore. Despite Vaselines history, theyre not consistently keeping pace with what modern research has shown is necessary to significantly improve dry skin. If you focus on their best products, you can find some bona-fide beauty bargains but again, this isnt a line to shop blindly.
