Brand Overview

Makeup remover cloths may be one of the more straightforward products out there; their job is to remove makeup, dirt, and oil and most are designed to be fast and convenient. CeraVe's Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths meet those criteria but also comes with additional perks that boost it to the top tier of affordable options for those with normal to dry skin.

Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths come in standard disposable wipe packaging, a thick plastic baggie with an adhesive top that you peel back to open and then reseal to close. The cloths themselves are soft and saturated with cleanser, though not so much that they feel overly wet or drip product on your counter.

Here's where CeraVe sets itself apart: Though they look much the same as other wipes, these cloths do an outstanding job removing makeup. One wipe can get most of a full face of makeup off, including waterproof formulas. Two wipes and you have a clean face! Given the amount of mineral oil the formula contains, we're not surprised by such expediency.

But there's another reason we like these cloths. Many people follow up makeup remover wipes by using cleanser and applying skincare products, but if you're too tired to do this and just want to use these wipes, your skin won't be going without at least some helpful ingredients. CeraVe includes its standard mix of ceramides, plus moisture-retaining hyaluronic acid and cell-communicating niacinamide to give this an edge over other wipes. Another bonus (especially for combination skin), these cloths don't leave a greasy or heavy residue behind!

Note: While niacinamide is an excellent skincare ingredient, some people do have sensitivity to it, so that's something to keep in mind if your skin happens to be extra-sensitive.

Overall, CeraVe's Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths are an excellent option when it comes to quick, complete, and easy makeup removal. This benefit along with the additional helpful ingredients that remain on skin makes these cloths easy to recommend!

CeraVe At-A-Glance

This expanding collection of skincare products keeps things gentle and effective with fragrance-free formulas, many of which are more state-of-the-art than any other product in its price range or pricier versions at the drugstore. In short, this line is a real find!

CeraVe uses a delivery system the company refers to as Multivesicular Emulsion Technology, which releases key ingredients such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid over a period of several hours. Although this technology is undoubtedly helpful, such time-delayed delivery systems aren't unique to CeraVe, and the fact remains that most of the ingredients they use are very helpful on their own, no matter what delivery system you use.

The important point is that ongoing, consistent use of this kind of moisturizer designed to repair the skin's barrier function will result in smoother, softer, healthier skin.

It is for these reasons that most CeraVe products are definitely worth considering, especially at this price. You'll find a options for moisturizing, cleansing, broad spectrum sun protection, and baby care.
