K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Fallen From The Lipstick Tree
Charlotte Tilbury knocks it out of the park with K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Fallen From The Lipstick Tree! The rich, creamy texture coats lips in dense, saturated color that lasts for hours. It has just enough slip to glide on smoothly, but isn't so slick that it will bleed into lip lines around the mouth. All that plus subtle shine for an alluring, come hither finish in a bevy of beautiful shades—what's not to love about this lipstick?
From the full-bodied red "So Marilyn" to the best-selling pink "Bitch Perfect," K.I.S.S.I.N.G. comes in a fun mix of classic and trendy colors (with equally colorful names to match). We especially have to commend Charlotte Tilbury for coming up with such an excellent compilation of nude shades—no matter what your skin tone, you're bound to find one you like.
What about Charlotte Tilbury's claims that this lipstick is "enriched with the Lipstick Tree, an antioxidant that naturally protects your lips from UV damage" and what the heck is Lipstick Tree, you ask? It correlates to the Bixa orellana seed extract in the formula, which is a natural plant colorant derived from a shrub native to South America. The natives there originally used the seeds to make body paint and lipstick, which is how this ingredient earned its nickname, "Lipstick Tree." It does indeed have beneficial anti-oxidative effects—just don't interpret that to mean that this will protect lips from UV damage like a sunscreen would. By the way, it's also one of the very last ingredients listed, meaning it's in a minute concentration so it's function here is more for a marketing story than anything.
There's not much else to say other than the lightly vanilla flavored K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Fallen From The Lipstick Tree is simply gorgeous! Splurge away (we won't tell your significant other)!

Charlotte Tilbury At-A-Glance
Charlotte Tilbury's journey into creating her own makeup line began back in her teen years when she discovered the transformative power of makeup. Fast-forward several years and celebrity clients later, Tilbury made a name for herself as a makeup artist who epitomized the glamorous beauty of the supermodel era in the 90s. Along the way, she became a consultant for beauty brands, and eventually decided to create her own line of makeup and select skincare products in 2013.
One of the strong suits of Charlotte Tilburys makeup is her take on color. The woman knows her way around flattering a complexion and making features pop, and you can see that in her shade range. That doesn't mean you wont find some misses along the way, but as a whole, the line offers an impressive selection of color.
Tilbury's skincare, on the other hand, doesn't fare quite as well. Between the use of jar packaging and some highly fragranced formulas, skin is left compromised (see individual reviews for details).
In no small way Tilbury's years of painting beautiful faces has helped shape what her makeup line is today. If you don't mind the $$$ factor, it's worth taking a look at the standouts which earn our highest rating.
Strengths: Excellent color selection; natural-looking foundation and concealer.
Weaknesses: The iconic Magic Cream comes in a jar; some highly fragranced formulas.
