Instant Confidence Stick
Instant Confidence Stick is a wrinkle-smoothing cosmetic product that lives up to its catchphrase, "a subtle pick-me-up that's there when you need it." With one swipe, the transparent, silicone-laden stick softly blurs the appearance of fine lines. As long as you keep your expectations in check that this is a temporary fix and not a face lift, it's a worthy addition to your beauty routine!
The directions for Instant Confidence Stick state that you can apply it under or over makeup, targeting wrinkles and fine lines. While we presumed applying it pre-makeup would work best, we actually found its smoothing qualities held up better when applied over our foundation and/or concealer. Keep in mind that using it this way means you'll have to do a bit of re-blending since the velvety-matte finish of the stick slightly budges the makeup beneath it, but we found this easy enough to remedy.
The secret weapon of Instant Confidence Stick is its silicone base, which "fills" and blur crevices and fine lines instantly. It won't make wrinkles disappear, but they will look less apparent. How long the fix lasts depends on the depth and extent of your wrinkles, as well as how expressive you are (as in, how much you move your facial muscles).
We're happy to see that Bobbi Brown made this formula fragrance free and threw in some beneficial skin-softening ingredients, as well as a ceramide/peptide blend (albeit in very minimal concentration—but hey, some is better than none).
All in all, Instant Confidence Stick earns our seal approval for its tremendous line-smoothing abilities! To reiterate, this is a temporary effect, but considering how easy it is to apply this stick on-the-go, you really could keep it going all day long if you wanted to!
Bonus: Instant Confidence Stick can also be used to mattify oily shine on contact!

Bobbi Brown At-A-Glance
Strengths: A good cleanser and eye makeup removers; some impressive foundations, with options for all skin types and preferences; very good blushes and eyeshadows (powder and cream); several top-notch mascaras; mostly excellent brushes.
Weaknesses: Multiple moisturizers in jar packaging, otherwise great products hindered with irritating fragrant oils or fragrance components.
It all began with lipsticks. In 1991, New York based makeup artist Bobbi Brown debuted a collection of ten lipsticks at Bergdorf Goodman, expecting to sell about one hundred units in a month. She sold more than that the first day. From there, it's been mostly success after success, as Brown launched her classic foundation stick, wrote her first book, Bobbi Brown Beauty The Ultimate Beauty Resource, and enjoyed continued attention as an in-demand makeup artist and beauty educator.
Today, Bobbi Brown's makeup that continues to excel with superior foundations, true matte blushes and eyeshadows, and with all of the other basics that are essential to anyone's makeup wardrobe. It isn't the least bit surprising that this makeup collection continues to do so well, because for many it's one-stop shopping that combines classic makeup application techniques with enough fun-yet-functional products to keep customer's interest piqued season to season.
Turning to the skincare collection, there are a few excellent formulas, but unfortunately, many are packaged in a jar, which means their beneficial ingredients are rendered useless due to air exposure (and bacterial contamination from spatulas or fingers). In addition, some suffer from the inclusion of potent fragrant essential oils. Those that should be avoided are noted in their respective reviews. That aside, color is without a doubt Bobbi Brown's strong point, but you will find a few sleeper hits among the selection of skincare products.
