Brand Overview

Indeed Labs’ Hydraluron+ Moisture Mist is a good option for moisture-on-the-go, skipping out on the fragrance and irritants that trip up a lot of other moisture mists. We only wish the formula contains more in the way of hydrating and anti-pollution ingredients to really take it to the next level.

Packaged in an opaque pink container that protects its ingredients from light and air, this moisturizer comes out in a fine spray, rather than as large droplets, making it easy to use (you don’t even have to massage it into skin because the spray is so fine). It absorbs quickly, leaving a slight dewiness behind which makes it a good option for those with normal to dry skin.

The ingredient list is fairly bare-bones, but what’s here is choice: gluconolactone (a polyhydroxy acid, or PHA, that in this formula serves as an antioxidant) and plumping sodium hyaluronate. It also contains butterfly bush extract, long used in Chinese and Korean folk medicine. This extract is interesting because some research shows in addition to its antioxidant properties, it can help fight against UV damage, and damage caused by the blue light produced by the sun and electronic devices, such as phones and computer monitors. While more research is needed, it’s a potentially exciting ingredient – and we’re glad to see Indeed Labs use it here.

Overall, while perhaps not the most bursting-with-brilliant-ingredients option, this moisturizing spray does what it says and nails the aesthetics as well.

Pros:
  • Spray action results in a fine mist instead of large droplets.
  • Leaves skin feeling refreshed and moisturized.
  • Contains antioxidant gluconolactone and plumping hyaluronic acid.
  • Includes butterfly bush extract, which some research shows fights UV and HEV damage.
  • Fragrance free.
Cons:
  • Would be more impressive with additional beneficial ingredients.
Jar Packaging: No
Tested on animals: No

Revitalize, hydrate, and plump skin with this protective and ultra-hydrating hyaluronic acid face mist. Using low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, hydraluron™+ moisture mist works to provide lasting moisture and plumpness to the skin, which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Developed with HEV-shielding ingredients including extracts from Buddleja Officinalis (also known as the Butterfly Bush) that have over 3 times the antioxidant power of goji berries, this mist helps to restore skin’s protective barrier, brighten skin, and defend against outdoor pollution and blue light (also known as HEV light). hydraluron™+ moisture mist gives the skin an instant dewy effect while protecting the skin from sources that emit significant amounts of HEV light, such as computer screens, smartphones, the sun, and other digital devices. This travel-friendly and convenient mist can be applied throughout the day as an instant pick-me-up to refresh and hydrate stressed and tired-looking skin.

Aqua (Water), Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Gluconolactone, Propanediol, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Buddleja Officinalis Flower Extract, Calcium Gluconate.

Strengths: Inexpensive; some novel products worth checking out, fragrance-free.

Weaknesses: Some of the products in this line make claims that the results are like in-office cosmetic corrective procedures when that is not the case.

Promising high performance, innovative products, Canada-based Indeed Laboratories is a small, drugstore-sold line specializing in anti-aging-themed products. Their best-known product, and not surprisingly the one we're asked about the most, is Nanoblur. This product is essentially a silicone-based wrinkle filler and pore smoother that works, though no better than many other, similar products. All of these types of products work (temporarily, of course) to improve skin texture and fill imperfections to a degree that they're slightly to moderately less noticeable. Where Nanoblur makes its mark is the price point, which many will find enticing.

This is a line that seeks to avoid fragrance, and that's always to skin's benefit, and their modern-looking packaging will help keep light- and air-sensitive ingredients (like retinol) from degrading. Though the claims of certain products don't always live up to the reality of their ingredients,  if you keep your expectations realistic and don't expect miracles, you're far more likely to come away satisfied.
