Brand Overview

Healing Hand Cream from Gold Bond contains just about everything a good hand cream for dry skin should: smoothing emollients, hydrating ingredients that draw and hold moisture to skin, antioxidants, restoring, and replenishing ingredients for lasting softness. Add to this list an extremely affordable price and you have one of the best hand creams at the drugstore!

Really, the only drawback is the small amount of fragrance this contains, but we want to emphasize "small amount". Although fragrance in any amount can be a problem for skin, lower amounts can be acceptable for products like this, especially if the alternative is dry, cracked hands!

One more comment: Healing Hand Cream is best applied at night due to its lack of sunscreen. Hands absolutely need broad spectrum sun protection during the day, at least if you want to delay signs of aging such as brown spots and loss of firmness.

Pros:
  • Very good mix of ingredients to improve dry hands.
  • Provides long-lasting moisture (though you will need to reapply at some point).
  • Inexpensive.
  • Minimally fragranced.
Cons:
  • None.
Jar Packaging: No
Tested on animals: No

Gold Bond At-A-Glance

Gold Bond is a staple at drugstores due to their small selection of body lotions, anti-itch products, and various foot-care products. Though there are a number of Gold Bond products containing the potent irritant menthol (particularly its foot care and "medicated" products), in recent years Gold Bond has taken great strides and now offers some impressive moisturizers that are fairly priced, too.
