Facial Cleansing Towelettes Cucumber and Sage
First things first: There's nothing about these cleansing towelettes that's "specially crafted" for normal to dry skin. They do have some good ingredients that can soothe skin, such as aloe and cucumber extracts, but there are far better plant extracts than these for soothing skin. Aloe and cucumber just aren't the best in that regard.
These cleansing cloths contain only relatively mild cleansing agents, so the formula relies more on the emollients included in the solution, along with the friction from wiping them across your face, to remove excess oil, dirt, and makeup.
The main drawback of this cleanser is the overabundance of fragrance, and that's not good for anyone's skin. Plus, the namesake ingredient sage is decidedly not good for skin. In fact, one of the natural components responsible for sage's fragrance is camphor, a known skin irritant (Source: www.naturaldatabase.com). See More Info for why irritation is so damaging to skin.
When you consider that this product is intended to be left on skin - one of the advantages of wipes is supposed to be that you don't have to rinse - it's best that these be left on the store shelf. Instead, choose one of the options on our list of Best Cleansers.

Weaknesses: Many products have potent fragranced formulas; several formulas packaged in jars, which compromises their ingredients.
With humble beginnings in the town of Bangor, Maine, Burt's Bees is a brand focused on natural-themed, earth-friendly skincare. Unfortunately, in many cases, this also translates to less than beneficial formulas as not all of the natural ingredients used are helpful for skin.
Many of the plant extracts and oils used in these products, including orange oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, lemon oil, eucalyptus oil, pine tar, alcohol, lime oil, and balsam peru, are problematic for skin and present a significant risk of irritation or a sensitizing reaction. Both the intriguing philosophy and inexpensive products are attractive, but it takes more than that to establish reliable products that are good for skin. Its also important to consider the potential benefit (or potential harm) of the ingredients used.
There are some formulas to consider among the brands offerings, but some to be wary ofsee our individual reviews on Burts Bees products for more details.
