We don’t know if Skyn Iceland was trying to be deceitful or just doesn’t know any better, but the claims for this product are so far off that they are borderline offensive. Calling this product “a blemish treatment that makes the ugly stuff disappear without wreaking havoc on your skin” just isn’t true. The second ingredient in this product is alcohol, which causes dryness, inflammation, free-radical damage, and cell death. Alcohol can also stimulate more oil production at the base of the pores, which isn't what someone with oily, acne-prone skin needs.
There also are other problematic ingredients in this product (including several that may make blemishes worse), and the salicylic acid is useless as an exfoliant because this product’s pH is too high for it to function in this manner. If anything, this product's blend of irritating and soothing ingredients is bound to make your skin confused!
This clear, non-sticky gel gets its punch from a highly effective, natural antibacterial and is loaded with moisturizers, vitamins and antioxidants to protect and heal inflamed skin. Minimize flare-ups effectively without the drying and irritation that create those lovely flaky patches.
