Advanced Therapy Hand Cream
There is nothing advanced about this product; in fact, it is about as bare bones as it gets. Unfortunately, lots of hand creams disappoint. Although it's great this is fragrance-free, it is little more than waxes and Vaseline. It lacks effective amounts of beneficial skin-repairing ingredients and antioxidants. And, because this doesn't contain sunscreen, it's not recommended for daytime use. Your hands always need sun protection if you want to keep them looking healthy and young.
Please see our list of Best Body-Care Products for superior hand creams, including those with sunscreen.
- Fragrance-free formula.
- Overall ordinary, disappointing basic formula.
- Not suitable for daytime use due to lack of sunscreen.
- Formula falls short of antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients.
- Not a good option if you're concerned about preventing signs of aging on your hands.
Heal and protect dry hands with Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Hand Cream. This unique formula, which is enriched with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants, is clinically shown to moisturize for 24 hours, and lasts through hand washing, leaving your hands softer, smoother and more comfortable.
Strengths: Inexpensive; some fragrance-free body lotions; Lubriderm provides complete product ingredient lists on its Web site.
Weaknesses: Mostly outdated formulas that lack a range of skin-repairing ingredients; the body lotion with SPF 15 does not provide sufficient UVA protection; not much distinction between formulas, especially in the Daily Moisture range.
Among body lotion brands, Lubriderm is recognizable at drugstores and grocery stores around the world. Unfortunately, most of their formulas are about as exciting as watching grass grow! Instead of providing dry, itchy skin with a range of state-of-the-art ingredients proven to offer lasting benefits, Lubriderm stops short at the basics, with formulas that echo back to the 1960s.
What Lubriderm leaves out are the ingredients that would supply your skin with a healthy dose of antioxidants, skin-repairing ingredients, or cell-communicating ingredients. All these types of ingredients can actually "repair" skin, not just put a Band-Aid on the problem of dry skin.
Lubriderm products are not bad, but it's like using a typewriter instead of a computer. Simply put, science has advanced skin care far beyond what Lubriderm formulas provide.
Lubriderm's price point is attractive, but saving money isn't always the end game. Besides, there are other inexpensive brands whose impressive body moisturizer formulas mean you dont have to settle for less.
