Brand Overview

Miracle Skin Transformer's Acne Control Skin Enhancer is a BHA (beta hydroxy acid) product medicated with 0.5% salicylic acid. Although salicylic acid is a proven ingredient to fight acne, blackheads, large pores, and white bumps, a 0.5% strength is on the weak side, and with this product's pH of 5.3, it's unable to exfoliate skin to help clear it and reduce pore size.

This citrus-scented BHA product has a soft, creamy texture that feels silky and sets to a matte finish. It's available in a colorless option (Translucent) or in four skin tone shades that are mostly soft and neutral, though again, this product won't do much to improve breakouts or clogged pores. What it will do is make skin smoother, temporarily fill in large pores, and make makeup application easier.

Although the formula contains a good mix of beneficial ingredients, including niacinamide and sea whip extract, the inclusion of orange oil poses a slight risk of irritation which somewhat counters the good-for-skin ingredients. In the end, if exfoliation and relief from acne is what you want, you'll find better options on our list of Best BHA Exfoliants. If you decide to try this, it's best for oily to combination skin , and, due to the orange oil, shouldn't be applied around the eyes.

Pros:
  • Makes skin feel silky-smooth.
  • Softens texture irregularities and temporarily fills in large pores.
Cons:
  • Amount of salicylic acid is borderline for significantly improving breakouts.
  • Formula's pH is too high for the salicylic acid to exfoliate and clear clogged pores.
  • Inclusion of orange oil for fragrance poses a risk of irritation.
