Brand Overview

10% Glycolic Solutions Moisturizer is an easy recommendation for normal to dry skin. You get a hefty amount of proven alpha hydroxy acid glycolic acid in a gentle, fragrance-free hydrating lotion base that treats skin to a good mix of antioxidant vitamins and replenishing ingredients. No question, this delivers visible results, especially on sun-damaged skin.

Packaged in an opaque squeeze tube, this creamy exfoliant instantly smooths dry skin. You can layer a lightweight moisturizer or facial oil on top for extra hydration, or, applied during the day, top with your favorite daytime moisturizer with sunscreen. In either case, skin is left smoothed, soft, and radiant.

If we're being picky, this exfoliant's texture and finish aren't quite as silky, "next-generation", or elegant as some competitors; however, it works beautifully as an exfoliant and we're thrilled the formula doesn't contain problematic ingredients like fragrant plants, alcohol, or witch hazel.

  • Delivers 10% glycolic acid at a pH level that guarantees exfoliation.
  • Thick, creamy texture is great for smoothing dry skin.
  • Good mix of antioxidant vitamins and skin-replenishing ingredients.
  • Leaves skin looking fresh, dewy, healthy.
  • Packaging keeps the light- and air-sensitive ingredients stable during use.
  • Fragrance free.
  • None.

This gentle, time-released form of Glycolic Acid in a rich moisturizing formula helps produce a beautiful, fresh and youthful-looking complexion. Advanced chemical exfoliation helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brightness, clarity, uneven skin tone, pores and smoothness.

Peter Thomas Roth At-A-Glance

Peter Thomas Roth is a large but straightforward line with mostly uncomplicated formulations that, for the most part, are quite good and state-of-the-art. Unlike many product lines, most of the acne, AHA, BHA, sunscreen, and moisturizing products contain what they should to be effective and helpful for skin.

Even more impressive are the well-formulated cleansers, sunscreens, AHA products, and skin brighteners. The moisturizers have improved somewhat, and most are now packaged so that the light- and air-sensitive ingredients remain stable. In fact, Roth's packaging deserves special mention because it is exceptionally utilitarian.

After all that glowing praise, what you should be aware of are the instances of products containing potential irritants (noted in their respective reviews) as well as the products in jar packaging that contain ingredients which are sensitive to air and light.
