Charlotte Tilbury's Luxury Palette Colour-Coded Eyeshadow is the brand's take on a popular eyeshadow concept: A four-shade collection designed to create a complete eye look with just one product. We're glad to say that this gets a lot right! Thanks to great texture, wear time, and overall performance, this easily earns our highest rating.
Each palette comes in a square-shaped compact in Charlotte Tilbury's signature rose-gold packaging. Four color-coordinated, fragrance-free shades are featured: A lighter all-over base shade (which can also be used as a highlight on the brow bone), a crease shade, a lid shade, and a shade for the "outer-v" of the eyes—though of course you can use them as you choose. While these shadows are in powder form, they have an almost creamy consistency that makes them easy to pick up on your makeup brush, and they're easy to apply and blend.
The only minor quibble we have is that the initial application is a bit sheer, but each shade can be easily built up for a stronger color impact.
Where this collection of palettes really shines is in its performance. We found that it did not fade or crease throughout a workday—and this was true of even the glitteriest shades! In fact, the glitter shades were impressive in that they applied just as smoothly as the matte options, with no fallout, even after a full day of wear. We also found that the glitter was on the subtler side, and is workable for a daytime look should you choose to wear it that way.
Charlotte Tilbury offers Luxury Palette Colour-Coded Eyeshadow in a good variety of different color and finish combinations. Among the current options are an all-matte selection of neutrals ("The Sophisticate"), an all-glitter/shimmer option ("The Uptown Girl"), and several palettes that combine finishes for a multi-dimensional look. Even better, all of the options are attractive and range from colors suitable for daily wear to more dramatic nighttime looks.
Overall, though it certainly isn't the least expensive option available, thanks to its exceptional performance and shade variety, Charlotte Tilbury's Luxury Palette Colour-Coded Eyeshadow is certainly a worthy one—and the collection is one we happily recommend checking out!

Charlotte Tilbury At-A-Glance
Charlotte Tilbury’s journey into creating her own makeup line began back in her teen years when she discovered the transformative power of makeup. Fast-forward several years and celebrity clients later, Tilbury made a name for herself as a makeup artist who epitomized the glamorous beauty of the supermodel era in the 90’s. Along the way, she became a consultant for beauty brands, and eventually decided to create her own line of makeup and select skincare products in 2013.
One of the strong suits of Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup is her take on color. The woman knows her way around flattering a complexion and making features pop, and you can see that in her shade range. That doesn’t mean you won’t find some misses along the way, but as a whole, the line offers an impressive selection of color.
Tilbury’s skincare, on the other hand, doesn’t fare quite as well. Between the use of jar packaging and some highly fragranced formulas, skin is left compromised (see individual reviews for details).
In no small way Tilbury’s years of painting beautiful faces has helped shape what her makeup line is today. If you don’t mind the $$$ factor, it’s worth taking a look at the standouts which earn our highest rating.
Strengths: Excellent color selection; natural-looking foundation and concealer.
Weaknesses: The iconic Magic Cream comes in a jar; some highly fragranced formulas.
