Review:
Pressed Mineral Foundation SPF 12 is a smoother, neater way to experiment with mineral makeup, though the composition of this talc-free, pressed-powder foundation is not akin to traditional mineral makeup. This has a beautiful soft, dry texture that blends very well and leaves skin with a subtle glow, courtesy of mica and boron nitride, a texture enhancer. Coverage goes from sheer (if applied with a brush) to medium (if used with a sponge) and does not look too thick, powdery, or heavy on skin, though like most powder foundations it will magnify dry areas. All five shades are excellent, and there are options for light to dark (but not very dark) skin tones. The sunscreen is pure zinc oxide, though an SPF 15 rating would've been better (and it's what keeps this from earning a Paula's Pick). Unless you need significant camouflage, consider spending your Sheer Cover dollars on this product instead of their loose Mineral Foundation.
