| Review: |
| The big to-do with this lip product is that it’s supposed to be a lip paint and top coat in one, thus negating the need to use the numerous two-step long-wearing lip products first made famous by Max Factor Lipfinity. That’s an admirable goal, but Revlon failed miserably. This liquid lipstick applies smoothly and feels like a lightweight gloss, but within minutes after it dries, your lips literally feel like the moisture is being sucked right out of them. I applied more product, thinking that because the top coat was built in I would get some relief from the parched feeling. That didn’t happen. Instead, my lips continued to feel dry. Still, I persevered. About an hour later, this began flaking and looking all-around unattractive. Revlon maintains this wears for 12 hours, but I suspect most women won’t tolerate the way it feels for longer than 12 minutes, so their long-wearing claim won’t be put to the test. What a shame, because the concept is exciting and the shade range is beautiful. |
